Republican Donald Trump has delivered a series of personal and political attacks against his Democratic rival Kamala Harris in a speech he hopes will help him recover from a difficult period in which his lead in the opinion polls has virtually melted away.
The former US president told his supporters in Asheville, North Carolina on Wednesday that if he wins the election on November 5, he will open up federal lands to drilling and simplify the approval process for pipelines, among other measures designed to lower consumer prices.
