Matt Gilbert, one of Mt Barker Football Club's most loyal servants, has been rewarded for his tireless dedication with a nomination for WA Football's Volunteer of the Year award. Gilbert will join 16 other finalists in an event at the WAFL grand finals at Optus Stadium on September 22 where the winner will be announced.
Bridgetown volunteers have the opportunity to improve relationships between community groups as part of a new series of events to develop a Community Action Plan. 'Activate 2024' will be hosted in the town and will include free workshops for community groups to help develop the new plan, led by Rural Aid.
