Faster compensation for sick firefighters as Queensland expands cancer patient list

Firefighters in Queensland will soon be able to receive compensation if they contract a work-related cancer. However, the union is calling for more extensive legal regulations. The state government wants to pass laws that ensure faster access to compensation if a firefighter is diagnosed with one of 22 diseases considered occupational.
