Mingenew Midwest Expo: Everyone had fun at the two-day agricultural event
Rain clouds didn't dampen this year's McIntosh and Son Mingenew Midwest Expo, which drew crowds from across the state and provided two days of fun for all.
Rain clouds didn't dampen this year's McIntosh and Son Mingenew Midwest Expo, which drew crowds from across the state and provided two days of fun for all.
More than 500 people registered for last weekend's Ship to Shore Community Fun Run, a day focused on community spirit and health. A large crowd gathered at 7:30am for the start of the 6km run at Cemetry Park, with some choosing to walk the course and complete a shorter 3km distance at 8am.
Completing a 5k is no easy feat without some training, but for Bunbury resident Phil Thompson, the distance had a very special meaning. Mr Thompson, 74, suffered a stroke last year and was admitted to Bunbury Regional Hospital with weakness in his left arm and slurred speech.
