An Albany man traumatized by a serious attack has avoided immediate jail time after being caught carrying a fishing knife for protection twice in 11 days. Shane John Edward King, 59, appeared in Albany District Court on Thursday and pleaded guilty to two counts of carrying a weapon.

An Albany man whose home exploded in January was sentenced to six years in prison for possession and sale of more than $32,000 worth of methamphetamine. Jason Edward Olivieri, 47, was convicted July 22 in Albany District Court of seven counts related to possession, sale and delivery of methamphetamine and possession of unlawfully obtained property.
