Cuballing firefighter receives Murray Lang Bush Fire Service Award at WA Fire and Emergency Services Awards

A Wheatbelt volunteer firefighter has received the highest personal award a bush fire volunteer can receive from the government for his unwavering courage and outstanding contribution to public safety. Anthony “Morty” Mort, Captain of the Cuballing/Popanyinning Bush Fire Brigade, received the Murray Lang Bush Fire Service Award at the Crown Perth on 7 September.

Cuballing will welcome a new CEO in September who will bring consistency and stability thanks to his extensive network of political and governmental authorities. Chris Paget will join the County of Cuballing on September 23 for a three-year term and will be the county's third CEO in four years following the retirement of Stan Scott.
