Pivot Support Services' final push for government funding before Community Hub closes on September 30

About a month before the planned closure, more than 1,500 people signed a petition calling on the state government to provide financial support to a vital crisis center in Albany. The Community Hub, run by Pivot Support Services, has helped more than 2,500 people get back on their feet in its five years of operation.

Darkan CWA hosts a ‘Wellbeing for Women’ event focusing on the mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of the local community.

With a promise to empower women in the Wheatbelt, Darkan CWA will host a mental and physical health event with a focus on promoting community wellbeing. Wellbeing for Women will offer sporting activities, a mental health workshop and guest speakers. There will also be a crèche, lunch and morning tea from 11am-4pm on 22 September.

Many Bridgetown residents seem to be considering writing their memoirs, but not knowing where to start can prevent many from telling their story. To help, author Sarah Evans has started offering writing workshops in Bridgetown so people can record their stories and memories.
