Teenage middle-distance star Peyton Craig has gained enormous confidence after coming within a whisker of becoming the second Australian in more than half a century to reach an Olympic 800m final.
Craig, 19, ran a tactically astute race in Paris on Friday that belied his inexperience on the world stage, stopping the clock in sixth place with a personal best time of 1 minute 44.11 seconds.
