Boxwood Hill kept its season alive and eliminated defending champions Newdegate by winning a hard-fought elimination final at the Ongerup Football Association in Lake Grace on Sunday.
It was a matter of life and death for both sides, but Boxwood were the better team. In wet and windy conditions, they held the 2023 premiers to just two goals and scored six goals themselves, making the score 6.5 (41) to 2.3 (15).
