Nick Bruining: Increase in calls about elder abuse shows need for control and central register for powers of attorney

The chief executive of Western Australia's largest organisation fighting elder abuse has called for a national register of health care powers of attorney.

Advocare WA chief executive Louise Johnstone Forster said the state had fallen behind in tackling the growing problem of elder abuse.
