NAPLAN 2024: One in three WA students struggles with reading, writing and problem solving at their year level

One in three children in Western Australia struggle with reading, writing and maths, according to worrying results from this year's NAPLAN tests.

About 30 percent of students in WA scored, on average, in the bottom two places in the statewide literacy and numeracy tests because they were unable to read, write or solve maths problems at the basic level expected for their age.
