The campaign to protect the endangered gliding possum has been intensified in Queensland after a conservation group reported deforestation just a few kilometres from a site where the species has been recorded.
Queensland Conservation Council volunteers documented logging in late July in a state forest near Maryborough, which they said was less than three kilometres from where seven giant gliders had been sighted.
