Finance Minister Katy Gallagher acknowledged that government spending contributed in part to inflation, but downplayed the role of the federal government.
Earlier this week, Reserve Bank Governor Michele Bullock said state and territory governments account for the majority of public spending, but noted that this was “not the majority”.
