Australia's fiscal outlook has been reviewed by the International Monetary Fund and ranks third in the world as a percentage of GDP.

This comes from an underlying liquidity surplus of $15.8 billion (0.6 percent of GDP) for 2023-24, followed by a surplus of $22.1 billion (0.9 percent of GDP ) in 2022-23.
