Dear Aunt,
I live in a lifestyle village and we are a community of mostly friendly, neighbourly people. However, we have a problem with a resident who is constantly feeding the birds and ducks on the oval adjacent to the village. When the rest of us walk our dogs, they eat the leftover food and worse, it attracts rats. Once the weather gets warmer, the rats attract snakes. The village gardening team have laid out rat bait but we don't want our dogs eating poisoned rats or being bitten by snakes. The administration has asked this person not to feed the birds on site and on the oval. There are enough seeds and native plants in the village and nature reserve to feed the birds but he has ignored them. How can we stop this behaviour?
