Suicide rates have increased among Aboriginal young people living in remote areas and they are more likely to be placed in foster care, according to a recent Productivity Commission report entitled Closing The Gap.
This allegation is based on preliminary data published by the Commission in February, which showed that most of the Closing The Gap outcome targets were either off track or had even worsened.
