Seven-year-old Boots Like Bruce, who has raced only a few times, delivered his second winter sprint race for the competitors in two weeks after winning the $125,000 Listed Swan Draught Belmont Newmarket (1200m).
The son of Alfred Nobel, who was sent into the race as the TABtouch favorite at $2.60, shot out of the starting blocks, immediately cleared the outside barrier (eight) and worked his way up alongside the leading Puli ($21).
