Western Australians now have even easier access to Singapore and the rest of Asia after Jetstar announced three return flights a week between Perth and Singapore. From September 3, the service will expand to six flights a week – and with fares starting from $159 one-way, they're sure to go down well.

I'm trying out the new service on board one of Jetstar's new Airbus A321neo LR aircraft. Jetstar says the new aircraft offers the best flying experience of any low-cost airline. It's 50 percent quieter than the similarly sized Airbus A320 and A321 and uses 20 percent less fuel.
